The 2017 Pantone Colors are all about nature. They are noted to be “a mixture of vitality, relaxation & the great outdoors.” This is an excellent description of a spring-inspired palette. Spring is the season of outdoor rebirth and renewal. It is also a very good time to consider updating a room with new accessories – from tile to furniture and linens. Consider one of the 2017 Pantone colors!
What are good colors to follow for 2017 from the Pantone Color Report?
While the brighter color options for 2017 are not something typical you would find in stoneware or tile, they are still able to be incorporated into an updated space. How? Consider the brighter colors, such as Flame, Pink Yarrow, or Primrose Yellow as colors for pillows, or any other decor in a room. Are you looking for something a little more subtle? Pale Dogwood and Hazlenut are light and natural tones found throughout the many aspects of a home or office.
Greenery, the highlighted color of the year, is certainly a spring color. The green is reminiscent of the shoots and bulbs that grow and flower in the early days of April. Yes, it may be a brighter color – but that doesn’t mean it shouldn’t be considered for the final choice of room paint or tile. In fact, the example kitchen below boasts a kitchen nook area and backsplash area with Greenery colored paint and tile, and it brightens the room while still maintaining a natural feel.
A hue that is reminiscent to the Cherry Blossoms that bloom in early spring, Pale Dogwood is a beautiful balance between a fawn brown and airy pink. This blend makes the color neutral enough not to be too “girly.” Use this color in your living room or dining room. It is both bright and calm, and pairs well with plenty of colors to help achieve the perfect look.
A gorgeous blue that is not too dark, and not too bright. Niagara is calming, but not to the point of sleep. The lighter hue of this color makes it a welcoming transition color from the icy cold to the thawing cool. It is also referred to as a denim tone and is considered an extremely versatile, calming color. Many people think this color is a great summer blue, and carry it into the summer season – from home to fashion.
